Petition to preserve Ranch Lease RL_436 to Ed Ruiz

I've known this family for 60 years and there is no good reason to take their lease away.

I cannot even begin to describe the heartbreak this would cause my family!

Thou shalt not covet

there would have to be an absolute cause, without cause or reason.. theres no sale.

I don't need to know this family to know this is wrong and based on greed over what's best for the land. I support the Ruiz family and hope this petition helps keep the land under thier stewardship.

No one cares about our area like the founding families. They have spent all their lives educating people as to the importance of protecting our lands!!!

DWP its time you take responsibility for all the wrongs you have visited on our beautiful valley!!! Leave this lease to the family that has taken care of it for 80+years!!!

Is it a money thing? If LADWP is involved, I'm sure it is!

Renew this Ranch Lease as we appreciate what ranchers have always preserved in our valley, environmental health and our heritage back to the 1850's.

We shouldn't need a petition to keep the ranch in the Ruiz family, but that's sadly the world we live in: one that is sorely lacking in governmental compassion.

This land should stay with the Ruiz family, and it should be irrigated NOW so the vegetation doesn't die.

Simply stop and think, is what I'm doing demonstrate I truly care what happens in people's lives including my own.
