I've known this family for 60 years and there is no good reason to take their lease away.

I don't need to know this family to know this is wrong and based on greed over what's best for the land. I support the Ruiz family and hope this petition helps keep the land under thier stewardship.

Manny -- I hope that the DWP will reconsider its position in light of the local opposition to their "highest bidder" political nonsense. -- Val

No one cares about our area like the founding families. They have spent all their lives educating people as to the importance of protecting our lands!!!

Is it a money thing? If LADWP is involved, I'm sure it is!

Renew this Ranch Lease as we appreciate what ranchers have always preserved in our valley, environmental health and our heritage back to the 1850's.

We shouldn't need a petition to keep the ranch in the Ruiz family, but that's sadly the world we live in: one that is sorely lacking in governmental compassion.

REALLY DWP?! Cant you just leave us alone? You have ruined our valley already, don't ruin his families livelihood too.

This land should stay with the Ruiz family, and it should be irrigated NOW so the vegetation doesn't die.
