Petition to postpone 5th convocation of Central University of Karnataka due to outbreak of novel corona virus (COVID-19)

Respective heads of MHRD, UGC, CUK,
We refer to the petition, undersigned by students of Central University of Karnataka, regarding the Postponement of 5th annual convocation of Central University of Karnataka.
It is in regard with the notification received from the official site of CUK, stating that Convocation is to be held on 14th march , degree distribution only to the gold medalist and PhD students due to preventive measures taken for corona virus. The concern is much for all of us as we all have got arrangements for this event. Being a Central university, we all expect to be convocated rather than collecting certificates from the respective departments.
We understand that this decision is in wake of alertness regarding the spread of COVID-19 virus. But it will be great if our university postpones this ceremony so that the condition will be in control by that time and everyone can attend the same which will be a very great news for the students and their families who are eagerly waiting for this ceremony.
There were instances where two batches were convocated in the same year We request the authorities to do the same this time.

I logged on this morning and honestly had to stare at the screen for a minute because I truly did not think this would gain so much traction so quickly. It feels like everyone is finally acknowledging that we just want to celebrate our hard work together after everything we went through to get here. Keep talking about this because the pressure is working and I have a feeling they are starting to listen.

Convocation is for all students who completed their degree. CUK is combining of all students not only rank students. Students can't miss this ceremony due to Covid-19. So please postpone Convocation
I request to reschedule the 5th convocation ceremony and allow us(Family Members) to participate in convocation ceremony.
It is the dream of every student to be a part of their University's convocation ceremony. So it will be a wise decision if could postpone the convocation ceremony by few weeks so that every student who wishes to be a part of this event can also attend.
Kindly postpone the convocation ceremony in view of latest circular by UGC regarding preventive measures against nCOVID-19. Apart from this sensible preventive measure, postponing of ceremony could benefit all graduates to attend such an important and dream function which is our rights too.
Please postpone the event....this event is not only...to collect the certificate or medal....its a get together function..so it is necessary to include all in this ceremony.....simply giving certificate is not a good decision...
Please consider our request and postpone the convocation

This is not the right time Students will come many places how we can controll .if 1 effected and rest.... Please postpone By the way YouTube streaming not the way to conduct convocation
Convocation is for all students who completed their degree. CUK is combining of all students not only rank students. Students can't miss this ceremony due to Covid-19. So please postpone Convocation
