I have been frequenting this retail strip/area since the early 70s. Please, let’s revitalize the anchor spot, formerly Mike’s Market, and make this a profitable endeavor for our neighborhood to once again enjoy.

Please do something because this is like a turd pile and all its doing is attracting flies (aka druggies and homeless) who liter and drink and leave trash. They also harass the surrounding homes and complexes.

There are so many issues in Carmichael that are in need of attention. This is one area that seems to a continual gather place of dumping and other activities inappropriate for the area. Please address to create an environment that is clean and safe.

Please take action in this growing situation of blight, crime and unsanitary conditions.

Basic maintenance, clean -up items and signage may alone clean up this property enough to make it attractive to a renter. The present tenants are very good businesses and must also be frustrated.

My grandkids go to Del Paso Manor and Starr King which are two elementary schools near this plaza. This should not be allowed to happen near young children, some of whom have to walk home alone pass this location.

This neighborhood does not deserve to be ignored and disrespected by uncaring owners of this shopping center. The tenants deserve a nicer looking center as well. Enough already, clean this place up!

Dear Mr. Desmond, I hope this email finds you well. The subject of my email has been an ongoing community topic which has largely been ignored by past officials. I hope you will find the time to make the blight in our community a priority. The dilapidated El Camino Plaza located at 2424 Mission Avenue is not only an eye sore, but is attracting vagrants, drugs, illicit behavior and unsafe conditions for our children who attend the nearby schools. Several years of voicing our concerns through various forums, letters to Susan Peters office while County Supervisor, and numerous reports to Code Enforcement have resulted in passive action or inaction. Our community members are fed up. Almost 700 passionate community members have signed a petition and letter directed at the owners of this property to clean, maintain and rent the available retail space. We seek your help as the new County Supervisor to act swiftly concerning this matter. The inaction from the slumlords and the incompetence of our prior County Supervisor has driven down our property values, made our schools unsafe, drained our community of resources and invited unwelcome crime. I have attached a link to the petition, news story and am happy to provide further information at your request. Kind regards, Kathy Mundt Sacramento County Resident

This has been an eyesore since I’ve lived here. It would be such a benefit to the community to have a nice shipping area here.
