Oppose because road can’t handle extra traffic

The roadway has not been revised and updated to take on this much additional traffic. As always nobody has done their homework.

The current infrastructure can't handle the ADT in and out of the area as it is. Adding more residential developments just compounds the situation.

Keep the farm land !

Traffic is horrible at Pedigo and Emory. It shouldn’t take 15-20 minutes to travel 2 miles from Pedigo to I-75 on Emory. No more traffic!!

Pedigo Road and Bishop Road cannot handle this additional traffic. It is extremely dangerous to enter Emory Road now from either of the roads as it is. These roads cannot handle that much additional traffic congestion.

Community cannot accept development of this magnitude

Pedigo and surrounding roads cannot handle any additional traffic. The existing roads are congested now and empty to a already over crowded Emory Rd

Bishop road is too narrow and windy to support the amount of traffic this would generate. It is already scary to drive at the blind curve.

My chief concern is the traffic. With 400 + new residence in this concentrated area (meaning @ 2 vehicles per household) our existing roads in this area can’t accommodate this. Most vehicles in the morning and evening avoid Emory road due to the heavy traffic going toward the interstate and take a by-pass to Bishop then to Tate Trotter and then to Conner to get to the interstate. These small secondary roads can’t handle this additional traffic. Before final approval I believe a traffic study of the secondary roads is in order. Add in the estimated traffic after the new development is completed to see if the existing roads can handle the traffic. Is Knox County going to upgrade these secondary roads at the expense of county tax payers or will the burden of road improvement be passed on to the contractor?? Note: in the past 15 years the land owner of an adjoining property on Copeland requested an approval of a subdivision and the MPC turned it down because Copeland was not wide enough to accommodate the increase of traffic. The land owner sold the property in tracts of 5 acres which now has very fine homes on them. 400 + homes is to many. Reduce this number and still do the traffic study.

Please take care of the congestion you have already created with rezoning and construction. Leave some open landscape!

I drive these roads every day. We don't need this! And we don't want it!

This community cannot keep up with this kind of growth as it is. First fix the already overburdened schools, roads and other services!
