Petition to oppose the rezoning of 1015 E Copeland Rd from Agricultural to Residential.

infrastructure in Powell can't handle this number of additional households.

I live in nearby Cedar Crest North Subdivision and this is a horrible idea. The area is already overpopulated in regards to what Emory Road can handle during the busy times. It use to take three minutes to get to I-75 just five years ago. Now it takes about 7-10 minutes which is completely ridiculous for a two mile stretch of road from Cedar Crest to I-75. Not to mention if a developer is putting five houses on an acre of land, those houses will likely be cheap and poorly built which will bring down the values of everyone's property in the area. Not to mention they would be on top of each other. If this proposal was for upscale/exclusive housing at 1 or 1.2 houses per acre, then maybe that could work. It would likely help to increase everyone's property value. Outside of that I would rather see the natural beauty of the land kept intact for all to enjoy.

Traffic is already horrible on Emory Rd. We cannot handle the cars, schools are over crowded as it is. Build a park instead, a community center, a place for people to gather and celebrate. A place with a pavilion. This is such a better use of this space than overloading it with people. Powell is a great community to live in, but enough is enough!

We are opposed to the rezoning that would allow up to 5 houses per acre because of the potential increase in traffic on Copeland, Bishop and Pedigo. Not to mention Emory Road is already over taxed with traffic from 7 a.m until about 7 p.m. and especially since Copeland is not even considered a two lane road. We live across the street from the property and feel that it would greatly decrease our property value. As the mother of a student at Brickey McCloud, I can't imagine where the elementary school, middle and high school would put another 100 students let alone what could potentially be 400 or even 800 students.

Roads are to small to handle traffic. I live at 840 East Copeland. I have had 4 or 5 mirrors damaged on my trucks because of the narrow roads.

We are opposed to any development with more than 1 house per 5 acre tract. Traffic on Copeland, Bishop, and Pedigo is already more than those roads can handle.

Please please look at how bad the traffic on pedigo is now and someone can stand up and say yes we did listen and we do care

This is a horrible idea. We do not need anymore homes people cannot afford. Plant trees instead. We need more of those.

Roads can't handle the current traffic, much less what this will add.

Live off copeland,come that way home all the time,too much traffic for that area

The infrastructure in Powell is overload already with all the new buisness going in. We don't need another Broadacres.

We do not want this rezoned. This would be too much traffic on small rural roads. The proposal to build 400+ units would be disastrous for the area.

Powell does not need anymore cookie cutter, shoddily built houses especially in a beautiful rural area on a road that cannot handle anymore extra traffic.

Roads could not handle the traffic. It is a nightmare on Emory now.

Please don't allow this. Over populated traffic area as it is.

County roads are dangerous currently. Additional traffic will continue to make a bad situation worse.

The roads surrounding this property were not created to handle the traffic flow that has been created by the growth of the last ten years . If this is opened to more building the traffic that will be created will create more accidents and strain state & county resources and will create more traffic accidents in this area.
