In university of Ibadan, full time PhD takes only 3 years while fellowship ranges between 6 and 8 years. Unlike, most fellowship theses, most PhD theses are watery and do not merit publication in international journals

No to the PHD. It is a big distraction to our training and skill acquisition. It is also clear they have relegated our fellowship to a position below PHD. THIS WILL ULTIMATELY AFFECT OUR ENTRY POINT and erode everything advantage we ever had.

The status quo ante bellum remains . The acquisition of phd for academic and professional relevance is unacceptable to members and fellows of NPMC or its equivalent . It is certainly in bad faith and taste
