Medicine is a unique discipline and as such it cannot be group as the same as any other discipline. The fellowship can be enriched to meet the need of the present moment.

The Fellowship is superior to the PhD for medical teaching. MD, PhD and any other degree should be as voluntarily sought by anyone interested. Let us safeguard the Fellowship and Residency Training Programme.

PhD is very inferior to the fellowship either in medicine and surgery. It should not be a prerequisite to becoming a clinical teacher or progression in academics. It is distraction in the training of Resident Doctors

The PhD is definitely inferior to the Fellowship
