In addition to the issues noted in the petition, I am particularly concerned that the variance in zoning sets a dangerous precedence to potentially new proposed projects to the entire neighborhood.
Although development is fundamental to the maintenance of the vitality of a neighborhood, there should always be a measurable advantage to each project that is approved.
The new condominium developments in the heart of Bay Village immediately increase revenues from property taxes - in a manner that a new apartment development does NOT.
