Ok if you want to go on this issue fine. If you for ONE minute you don’t think you are being selfish you are wrong. I cannot handle your ignorance. This was a hard decision and honestly the right one. So “cool dude” hide behind your so called name, which by the way suggests you can’t fully commit to this cause and like to hide so there that. Get real and wake up.

Everyone is essential especially our youth. All employers and employees are essential. We cannot let the solution be worse than the problem. There is officially one death in Columbia County since CV was tracked. ONE. Its time WE take back control of our lives and not the media. Social media is dividing us when we need to be united. School brings unity and normalcy to our future. Open the schools.

It would be nice if the school board would listen to the majority of the parents. The survey we completed was apparently a waste of time, as shown by the 7-0 vote in the opposite direction. Parents who want an in-school Option do their fact-checking and research also, because it affects THEIR kids.

I understand it’s a difficult decision to make, but someone needs to fight for the majority. Not one. No creativity ways to make it happens with the spaces and resources available? Virtual is better than nothing, but that is about it. There is no reason kids shouldn’t be in school. Families have been through enough. Now people are faced with quitting their jobs, because other aren’t willing to do theirs.

The schools need to be opened. Kids need social interaction. It is not healthy to be locked indoors. Some children do not live in such great households, unhealthy meals if any at all. Parents are not handled to teach their children. Some parents DO need to go back to work to make ends meet. How on any good Conscious do you feel this is right for our kids and community? Open the schools. Let the decision be up to the parents. If the parents feel unsafe the kids can stay home with them.

Our children deserve an opportunity to learn and grow. Online school will create inequality along with overwhelming struggles for many family units in our districts. Our youngest children need to be considered right behind kids with IEPs to have the opportunity to learn in the classroom.

I get that parents want/need kids to go to school but why don’t you just stop and think of what if someone gets sick then what? You’re all so concerned with yourselves that you overlook everyone else. Give it the few months to see and go from there. To all who think they know better then you had the chance to run for school board but didn’t. This wasn’t an easy decision for them and you need to stop with your selfish rants. I would never send my child to school in this pandemic cause i care and i care about others.
