As a former educator of thirty-four years, I think expulsion is not needed. The other punishments are enough.

These children had a good enough lesson already. All they need from now on is that the support in a form of education not the further punishment. These nine kids, their families and the rest of students at the CTC are in my prayers !

As a parent and an educator expulsion is going to far. The evidence about young adults and the events in hand need to be considered in an decision

These young people should be embarrassed good, not punished academically. I was one 60 years ago and I learned a long lesson. They will.

Agree with most that expulsion is unnecessary. Hopefully, the process of facing the school board and law enforcement officials and getting an earful from their parents will be appropriate punishment. I’m sure each of those boys will think twice about what they post before they hit send!

Everyone makes mistakes at some point in their life. We all have done or said something that we are not proud of. These students are having a hard enuff punishment from being out of school right now. I would like to see them return to school and get another chance. They are smart and bright. Just made a mistake. I dont feel like they meant what they said. I think they have learned a valuable lesson and if let back into school wouldn't get in trouble again.

I know one of these students and I do not think expulsion is the answer. There is a valuable lesson to come from this situation. These children are Great students and come from good families . I do not believe this situation should ruin their ability to have exceptional academic futures.

These children have already experienced a huge punishment for their actions. Let’s now welcome these 9 students back to CTC, drop any charges, and move on.

I am very close to one of these boys and his parents and I can say they definitely meant know harm to this teacher. Just as the officer said,. They made a mistake but expulsion doesn’t fit as the punishment. This would be traumatizing to them in the long run.

Greenville County School District does a lot of things right and I trust in the end, they will get this right too. Expulsion is not the answer here.

No denying these kids need reprimanding but I KNOW they are good children. Do not punish them with expulsion, this would be over the top and affect them permanently! Please take this petition to heart.

Please reconsider punishment for these students. No criminal intent, just poor judgment on their part.

The students made a judgement error, but do not deserve expulsion. There was no criminal intent.

I'm close to families who know and love some of these children. It seems like there may be a better way to handle this....

These kids obviously made a big mistake, but they are good kids with no history at all of trouble. They deserve a second chance and have been punished enough by now.

I agree expulsion is excessive. Other types of punishment such as service in the school are more suitable.
