It sucks. I had been beating around the bush to sign up to IMDB just to use the message boards since I don't really use Facebook. I was just about to when I first saw their notice. I really find the message boards insightful and hilarious. (Especially when people argue with little, to no facts, or go completely of subject.)

Started using iMDB in 1995, that's more than 20 years. Registered user since 1999.
Boards are a vital part of what makes iMDB.
There are other way to put an end to trolls and intolerant and violent behavior. Please don't shut the boards down.

I love the message boards. While there are some trolls, the overwhelming benefits outweigh the bad. Please keep them!

Just watched Split tonight and of course IMDb'd it straight to the message boards to get some questions answered. I don't know what I'll do without this feature

The message boards on IMDB are for the most part civilized, informative, and entertaining. I don't understand this decision. I have no desire to join Facebook
