Save the boards.
Without them, the site is a waste of time. Social Media hasn't taken over discussion about films, on what planet those in charge think that is the case are living, i don't know, but they're wrong!

Please reconsider.... I have learned so much from this wonderful message board! For about 13 years I have checked in multiple times daily! My friends have always asked me where to go for information and discussions....I've shared IMDB with so many friends many times over the years. Please know how much we all enjoy this wonderful resource!

Having a forum where I can discuss the films and shows I love is invaluable to me. Being able to look back at discussions when I see something long after the hype has ended is a really cool feature. It means that even for media that is not rampantly popular, there can still be a way for fans to interact, even if it the posts are years apart. Upgrade them if you must, but please don't get rid of the forums. Except for the odd lookup, why else even use the site?

PLEASE at least archive and leave accessible the decade and a half (!) of content created by users, for users! This decision seems rash and ill-advised, and it would be a huge disgrace to the IMDb & Amazon brands.

I am not on Facebook. (That is where the real trolls dwell!) I needs to have my IMDB in order to geek out on my media!

I am sorry to learn of the expected demise of the message boards at IMDB. It has a real place in the movie and TV world.

Conversing with other people is a valuable tool to find out his everyone feels and get suggestions about films/to. This us a very bad decision.

I truly enjoy the message boards where I can find out extra info about the meanings behind certain elements or scenes in TVs and Movies. I would really miss that part of IMDB.
