The message boards *are* IMDB to me. They're not just what keep me coming back, but what makes me stay for hours - often longer than it took me to actually watch a film. They're also an incredibly important piece of movie history, representing decades of contributions from people the world over.
Please reconsider.

I've been a part of IMDb for many years. While Trolls and sockpuppets are annoying, part of the appeal of message boards is the fact that if I love a movie or TV show, or if I don't like or understand something about it, I have IMDb which is full of people asking the same questions. Please don't eliminate the message boards!

I'm hoping that IMBD will reconsider it's decision, and will retain the messageboards, or at least archive them, so that the past discussions will remain. Thanks for your consideration.
