I always go to & use the message boards!!! They do help answer a lot of questions that come to mind...If it ain't broke don't shut it down!!!

One of the main reasons I go on IMDb is to read the message boards of the movie I just watched. Very sad to say I probably won't be visiting the website as often now.

I go to IMDB to look up movie basics like cast and director and filming locations...but what makes it special and more than just a database is that each movie has a forum for people to discuss the movie. Please keep the forums.

I don't comment often, but I read the message boards all the time. I love that after watching a movie, I can see what other's had to say about it or clear up an idea, such as a movie like The Shinning. It is nice being able to see what other's opinions are. I really hate to see the message boards go.

The message boards has helped me a lot in finding out great movies. The reviews posted by like minded individuals are a real guide in deciding whether to watch the movie or not. Please retain the message boards since I guess it doesn't hurt that much financially.

This is a great outlet that encourages like-minded people to talk about a variety of films in a much more enthusiastic way than they are able to on major social networks that are used as more of a marketing tool than they are to create a community. With these boards, I am guaranteed that someone out there has seen even the most obscure film, and is willing to discuss their views and points that have been overlooked in many reviews.

Please don't get rid of the imdb boards. Yes, there are trolls everywhere but there is also enlightening discussion and different points of view all over the boards. Don't let the trolls ruin it for all of us who like to be a proactive part of the film discussion community.

I'v been on the imdb boards for over 25 years and i've read and commented on every single movie i saw and heared something mention.Please reconsider removing them.

Please do not close down IMDb. boards If you do, it's your kiss of death, your hairkari. If that's what you want, you are about to get your wish. Be careful what you wish for. If you just want to close down IMDb (the entire site), just go ahead and get it over. Once the boards are gone, you'll lose at least 80% of your traffic. Thank you for your time.

Where else would we go to discuss a movie, actor or TV show? Not Facebook or Twitter. This is a terrible lazy move because they can't be bothered to moderate troll posts properly.

Oh man this is so not cool, there's really no equivalent to the IMDb boards. The most centralized place for movies taking away its discussion boards is just unfathomable.. Usually after I watch a movie I head over to those boards to read other users interpretations of a movie and to read the trivia. This has been my ritual for at least 15 years.

Please do not take away this discussion board, I do not and will not use their other social media platforms for discussion and as it was a main draw towards the website I'll visit significantly less often, if at all.
