IMDb has just given away the best reason to even JOIN. THEIR CEO,CFO,WTF has zero tolerance for Common Sense.... And NO, I'm NOT referring to Common, the amazing and handsome ACTOR.

If I had something I notice in a film or have a question about an actor, I'll check the IMDB message boards. Yes, I know that there are trolls, but those can be controlled with proper moderation and proper policies to eliminate sock puppets

I echo the thoughts and frustrations of all these people who've signed, and the many others who have not, but are just as passionate and devastated by this misguided decision. Please reconsider closing the boards. Encourage the community to actively shut-out the trolls and instead of giving in, make the goal for IMDb message boards to be the ultimate place to discuss movies and TV.

The message board is my go to when I find a scene in a movie puzzling or try to find out the name of a music score played in a movie. It's the depth that some members go to to explain a movie that makes the message board the most invaluable tool on IMDB. Please keep it open.
