The message boards are an integral part of IMDB. They can in no way be replaced by FB & Co. Keep the message boards!

Please keep/bring back the message boards! They're my favorite means of discussing, reading about, and contemplating films and tv shows!

Bastards. I am using imdb almost 15 years now. And one of the reasons i constantly,every day go to imdb, is to read what peple think about particulr movie, to chat with them. Its one of the main features for me.

The fact that there are 11152 people that have signed this petition shows there are at least 11152 people that care about film & the outlet for discussion, has been a crucial element of that. I hope Col Needham understands what he's taking away from a community. I've felt for a while now that IMDb has been becoming more corrupt recently... Ratings of films that just seem wildly unrepresentative. Feels a lot like big corporation meddling a lot of the time. At least with the message boards it felt like the closest place you could find to real opinions. To sacrifice real opinion for the sake of trolls... What an unnecessary waste. An unnecessary waste or big corporation meddling once again... Which one is it Needham? There aren't any other options...

At least they should have kept an archived version online or give it to archive.org to keep it online. This way it's just destruction of valuable information.

I AM OUTRAGED IMDB! The amount of info which common people posted, for free, that was VERY informative and FAR OUTWEIGHED the teenage trolls. For you to punish ALL OF US for the acts of a few is a disgrace. I will do everything in my power to boycott and avoid AMAZON and IMDB. I might stop in when required, but I will make a point to use all other resources before using yours or your advertisers! I AM VERY ANGRY AT YOU!! I HAVE NOTHING BUT BAD THINGS TO SAY ABOUT AMAZON AND IMDB!! YOU HAVE CREATED A LOT OF BAD WILL.

The message boards provide information which one cannot find anywhere else. The hundreds of thousands of messages the imdb has accumulated are a wonderful treasure. I ask Amazon / imdb to at least make it public somewhere else on the internet!

A foolish and shortsighted decision. The rich content of these message boards is the IMDB's most significant IP. Why throw it away?

I find the message boards a great source of information and while removing them would not stop me using IMDB it would greatly reduce the enjoyment I get from reading them
