The IMDB message boards were a unique resource on the internet. Sure, they were also full of trolls but maybe better moderation of the boards rather than complete deletion would have been a better solution. Please bring them back

The IMDB message boards were my number one reason to visit the site after each movie that I watched to share or compare my feelings about it with all those other people out there. Dont know if I keep using the site without them... its a shame

Movie discussions will never be the same again. IMDB message boards were the first place I went when I got home from a movie. This is such a shame...

It is NOT a good business decision to eliminate an aspect of a site that is well used, well liked and consistently brings more users into the site. I'm aware that Amazon owns the IMDb and there is most likely a view the elimination of the message boards will be a profit motivated move, but I disagree. So in short: BRING BACK THE IMDB MESSAGE BOARDS.

The forums were an invaluable resource. A lot of history of the film/tv industry has been lost which is a shame.

This is the only reason I ever used IMDB. You have ripped the heart out of the site and going on there is now a depressing graveyard site so I'll never go on again. Oh and by the way ..Amazon you're not getting a single penny from me again now. There goes another shot into your foot. Be aware that even if you try to kill the Internet, it can still bite back!

I wonder what kind of a drop in IMDb membership will result from taking away one of the best features (certainly better than user reviews, which can often be wrong and can't be corrected or commented on by others; the best you could do in the past was PM the author, but wait…).
