It's a shame to close that gateway of theories and clever plot holes observation, and sometimes trolls... but mostly great movies discussions.

After watching a movie, i always go to read the theories of the users. I have 29 years old; since i was 11 i started to visit IMDB, mainly for the forums.

Haven't been on IMDB since they dropped the message boards. I can't think of a reason to use the webside other than the boards, to be honest.

it's a loss to not have the boards anymore. and a defeat. is it not a way to allow hatred win over the meaningful discussion and exchanges that did take place? why diminish capacities for resistance even further?

Message board was the best thing about Imdb, I was constantly looking for explanations about shows or movies.

The message boards were the main reason I visited IMDB. After watching a film, I would always come and check what others posted when I had questions and needed clarity on plot points, symbolatry, plot holes, etc...
Now I don't know where to turn for these kind of answers and analysis- esp. for non-current/obscure/foreign films. Please, bring back the boards!

I think that for a majority of the people (including myself) the messageboard had a great added value.

The imdb message boards were a lot of things, the most important of which for me was that they were a good source of information. I just headed over to imdb because I had a question about something confusing that happened late in a movie I just watched and NOPE, NO MORE MESSAGE BOARDS. *traumatized* I guess I'll just be left to wonder. NOT HAPPY.

What a stupid decision it was to remove the boards. Imdb was such a great place to visit and check what people say on the movie you just saw. Now it's all gone. Don't see any reason to visit imdb anymore, you ruined it.
Where else to go - only reason to visit site!
