The trolls never bothered me. Whenever I saw a post with obviously stupid content, I would just quickly ignore it and move on the good ones--which were the vast majority of them.

This has got to be the most insane decision ever! The message boards are the best thing on imdb; they're the very essence of it. I won't be visiting again until they're returned.

Messageboards were my immediate go-to after watching a movie. It was a place to get answers to questions or to view others' reactions.

Bring the Boards Back! The boards allowed one to get a deeper appreciation for certain plot points and scenes in movies and allowed us to all share that experience. This is the ONLY reason I visited IMDB on a regular basis.

Message boards are a great stop after watching a movie to discuss, find out interesting tidbits and ask questions. Since getting rid of them imdb has become a po-faced boring site and I will now be looking for alternatives.
