The message boards were an amazing feature for discussing movies, tv series, actors and even characters. Here, you could see reactions all over the world. Aside from killing a very important feature of the user experience you are loosing tons of useful data you could have mined for all sorts of business. Just give us the message boards back and you will profit as well. You should know that, shouldn't you?

As an English major and film buff, the comments section of IMDb have been a treasure trove of theories, interpretations, and explanations. I have spent hours with the comments section over the last few months alone.

Been a member of IMDB since 1999. Removing the message boards is probably the most stupid thing they could have done. Will not visit IMDB anymore.

Shocked to see the discussion board was gone after watching Interstellar. Would have loved to read comments about the science in the movie. Sad. Revive the IMDB discussion board!

I've gone to the message boards after every movie I've watched in the last decade, this is devastating news to me. I don't know where else I'd quickly find such on point topics and discussion on subject matter.

The message boards brought life to the site. It is really sad it was taken down. IMDb won't be the same and it's a shame I really liked the sight. I won't love it like I once did. They really need to bring it back. I'm sure they will lose many users because of this.

I don't appreciate the corporate censorship of my speech, and feel that without dissenting opinions available on the IMDB message boards, there can be ZERO trust in the reviews or information available!

I was shocked hearing about this. Please reinstall the message boards! People who are intimated by the occasional troll have the option not to use the boards!

I just visited IMDB for the first time since they closed the message boards. I see very little reason to visit IMDB anymore because the main reason I visited IMDB was to read the message boards. The message board content was something that kept me on IMDB for HOURS, and now that it's gone I just skimmed through some info and was out in a couple of minutes. Unbelievable that IMDB made the decision to remove the boards. This move has made the site so much LESS interesting. BORING might be the descriptive word. Honestly, I think the boards made IMDB the giant that it is today, but now that the boards are gone, the site is just not worth the trouble. This decision will kill IMDB. I would LOVE to see the numbers of visitors - Say comparing the month of June 2017 to June 2016. I will predict page views and visitors will dramatically drop. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot! DOH!
