Petition to keep the IMDB messageboards going

IMDb is the only place you can find a board to discuss any movie or TV show all on one site. Delete it, and I will be deleting my account. I ONLY use IMDb regularly for the boards, without them I have no reason to visit your site. Leave the boards alone.

Please continue the boards. I have never learned so much about movies as I have on the message boards.

I'm Para_Freako_1990. Been a loyal member since 2004. As a major film buff, filmmaker/editor (I even have my own IMDb page), I am constantly on IMDb every single day. I'm either reading reviews of various films, shows, actors and actresses, or I'm writing down reviews and reading the thoughts of other fans in order to get a more immersive and broader experience of what I've watched. The fact there are no other platforms like IMDb where you can access individual pages for discussion, closing down the message boards is an extremely bad idea as it alienates film buffs such as myself from having quality discussions on anything we've seen. Social media pages don't cut it anymore, there are no individual pages for every single film on there. Don't close them down. Keep them opened.

I would hate to see the IMDB message boards go away. They are an entertaining and informative forum for the exchange of ideas and opinions. Please reconsider your decision to shut them down.

You cant do this, you cant shut it down!!! I use the IMDB message boards numerous of times a day, you cant just shut them down, you will be upsetting millions of people

Why? I've joined such a great community on IMDb. It's so frustrating that it's going to be taken away.

Please don't terminate imdb message boards.

I wish and hope that the imdb administrators can change their minds about ending the message boards since they are a wonderful place to discuss films and tv shows...among other subjects. Personally, I've been posting on imdb for over 10 years and have experienced alot of good people on there who love talking about films as much as I do, so it would be a great sadness to no longer use these fun and informative boards. Hopefully, I pray that you could change your minds about this decision hence why I'm signing this petition. Thank you.

Imdb message boards are a great place to talk about actors, actresses, movies and series. Hopefully they reconcile their decision to close the message boards.

Taking one's life away is considered murder!

IMDB boards must continue. They need to be revamped sure, but deleting them? That's like closing down a school because the kids are raucous.

I'm not sure why IMDb is doing this. There's no reasons as if the board was not useful, or had enough of posts and posters, in fact it's the opposite. IMDb is among the biggest, if not even #1 when it comes to message boars about movies, celebrities and upcoming new film projects. And shutting it down will not gain anyone. And in times lke this, we need the freedom of speech more than ever! So please IMDb, I urge you to keep the boards, but if you want to have it slightly moderated to get rid of trolls, that's perfectly fine to me. Just don't shut it down for no reasons really, a beloved board for us movie lovers which is a source of information, inspiration and on a daily basis joy. Please don't shut it down!

please don't get rid of them. this is the only place to talk with likeminded people about the films we all love and to keep up with new things in the film world. i've been a member for 10+ years and have been using the message boards. this would be such a massive blow. please reconsider.
