The message boards are what keep this site alive. I almost never post, but I read. Some films are difficult and it's important to be able to find different interpretations. There are people with a lot of knowledge who can provide insights and recommandations of films I wouldn't hear of otherwise. IMDb message boards played a big part in my becoming a cinephile.

Please reconsider disabling IMDB message boards. They are the only source for fans and professionals alike to discuss all things television and film. When I watch movies, old, modern, obscure, foreign I always go to the boards to read discussions, other people's interpretations, etc. By disabling the message boards you are severing the ties that bring viewers together.

IMDb message boards are the main reason I visit the site. I think you will lose a lot of site users when message boards are gone. It's a bad idea to get rid of the one place where users engage each other about films.

One of the reasons I go to IMDb is for the message boards. I love seeing other people's questions and opinions. Without the message boards IMDb will be little more than Wikipedia.

For over a decade, I have had the pleasure of participating in discussions on the IMDB message boards. Nowhere else on the internet is there such a community of film and television fans. Without the boards, thousans of people will have nowhere to share ideas and debate about the world of film. The boards are a crucial part of the IMDB experience, and most of the time I spend on the site is spent reading the message boards. Do not silence us, IMDB.

Please keep message boards. This 40+ year does not use other SM. I will not be using IMDb nearly as much. Do your advertisers realize how much less volume there will be on your site????????

I really love interacting with others on the IMDB boards. I would be sad if it was shut down, as this is one of the few social media accounts that I have.

Definitely understand the reason. But let's try other measures first. Have a better vetting system in place. Have a rule where if they're reported a certain number of times, they're banned for life, including the email address of origin from creating a new profile. This means a lot to a lot of people, please rethink.
