Sure, the IMDB boards attracted the usual trolls like any message board, though not nearly as bad as youtube, but it was the BEST place to find discussions on individual films.
If I want to comment or ask a question about "The Bad and the Beautiful" (1952 - which I'm watching right now) where am I supposed to go now?

Absolutely disgusting decision, if you take away the message boards, you take away a huge chunk of the movie-watching experience, DONT DO IT, PLEASE

The message boards are informative and fun, and a break from the daily stresses of life to discuss a favorite movie or show. Without them, I might as well just use wikipedia.

Its a shame to have these message boards go away. I am not like most, as i dont get on social media. Coming to this site was my only means of seeing what others had to say about the shows i am interested in. I really hope you reconsider your decision.

Really love the message boards. Will definitely have less of a reason to use the site if they're gone. Is prefer to go there rather than somewhere like Reddit. I think they should be expanded actually.

Your Message boards offer so much opportunity for people to learn and engage with other people who enjoy the entertainment that is out there. Your decision to shut it down, I believe, will greatly effect your users, not to mention the loss of more than a few. This feature is one that I almost automatically give to for each movie, show or actor that I look for more info about. I urge you to reconsider your move here. Sure there are always going to be those individuals who find fun in being trolls or "negative clowns", but most users can figure them out rather quickly and they are just ignored. Please consider this. Thank you.

I truly hope this decision is reversed. I've learned so much about the films I love due to the message boards and they are my primary reason for visiting IMDb.
