Petition to keep the IMDB messageboards going

The only reason I visited IMDB.

Come on man! Keep the boards!

Personally I never post anything but I enjoy reading the reviews of other like minded people. I also love getting all the different views together to look for things I may have missed. Please don't take this unique communication tool away because of the selfish minority

The best part of IMDB is the message boards. PLEASE DO NOT take them away!!

Closing the boards is a crazy idea.

The message boards are one of the main reasons to even visit IMDb. It's the only place where you can go to find obscure tv/movie conversations from other users & to talk about tv shows that are no longer on air. It's also great for foreign movies & tv shows! I check my IMDb app several times a day & will look up a movie/tv show after every viewing just to read others thoughts. And there's an ignore user option for people to block comments they don't want to see. Please reverse your decision to shut the message boards down!

The Message Boards are the MOST vital part of IMDB. They are the link to History. IMDB is like a Museum and the Message Boards are like interpretations of the museum pieces.They can read them and learn from them and as well, add their own comments and interpretations. I would say for the majority, the Message Boards ARE the reason people visit IMDB. To get rid of them is like taking thousands of History books and burning them. Speaking of Fahrenheit 451...

What IMDb is doing in shutting down the message board is a huge mistake and will bring consequences to this site in the future. What i (and many people) loved on this place was the fact we can be informed, read/share interesting theories and thoughts about our TV Shows, Movies and Stars (from the most famous to the least popular) and now thanks to this decision, we won't except if we have social medias to comunicate (but in 2017, there's still exist many people who avoid social medias) or to competition sites like Reedit and turn IMDb into just a... Wikipedia 2.0 . It's true that theres Trolls and Fanboys around this site and we know how annoying they are when they want to mess people who want to discuss pacifically something on the boards but also in another forums around the internet, even on these social medias that IMBd cares now and want us to migrate like for exemple Facebook and Twitter exist trolls and sometimes even worse that the ones from IMDb. Also for one reason theres options named "Ignore User" and "Report Post" on flag but if IMDb want to stop the Trolls, why not improve the moderation of this site without harming our beloved message boards. Would be Better.

The thing that currently makes IMDb great is the ability to interact with others and discuss movies on the boards. It is these boards that draw so many people to the site and keep them coming back. Once the boards have been closed I see no reason to continue using IMDb in the future. As a show of protest I will not be using any other IMDb social media outlets either.

Please dont shut download message boards. People have had so many different discussions on the message boards on many different TV shows and movies. It would be very sad if so many news and discussions would be lost forever

Loss of message boards on imdb will make imdb obsolete.

I use IMDb every day just for the message boards

The forums at imdb.com are the main reason I visit the site. Without them I will probably never come back, as will others.
