The main reason I ever visit IMDb is the boards. without them I, and I suspect many others, will have no further use of the site now it offers nothing more than Wikipedia.

these discussion boards are an indispensible way to get ideas about films both current and classic. the imdb discussion board is a library at alexandria. please dont let it go up in smoke.

The IMDB message boards were always the first place I went to when looking for info on a new movie or series, even before reading the reviews. They were great for connecting about upcoming projects: putting together dream casts, sharing the latest news, getting excited with new friends and fans about what was about to come out. Trolls were inevitable and ignorable - just scroll by. Without the boards, IMDB is just a fact checking source for me and there are plenty of other sites for that. Bring the boards back, IMDB!

The message boards were a valued and valuable source of discussing/finding out the intricacies of a movie/TV series that had passed you by during your watching. I find it remiss of IMDB to have removed them and sincerely hope the organisation reverses its decision .

This was the unique valuable feature of IMDB. Now, Wikipedia is superior since it doesn't have so much advertising.

Bring back the message boards! It is one of the major reasons I went to IMDB. The ability to see what other viewers thought of a movie, to gain insight about aspects of a movie, and to have things explained by other viewers was a VALUABLE ASSET that gave me a reason to go back to IMDB several times a day. Without the discussion boards I wont be going to IMDB very often.
