The Twilight Zones have a semi-annual "party" on the IMDB message boards. We "see" each other twice a year during the marathons! Additionally, it's a great way to chat with our fellow fans on different shows. We NEED these message boards! Maybe we could have a button to report the trolls? Thank u!

Please do not get rid of the message boards. Its a great way for movie buffs like myself to discuss and rant about our upcoming favourite movies. Please, dont kill your community that you've worked so hard to build.

I wish IMDB would reconsider closing it's message boards. I have been a member of IMDB for almost 14 years, I have met a lot of amazing people through your message boards.
It's a great places to talk with other people interested in same TV shows or movies. I have enjoyed discussing plots, theories and character development with people. It will be sad to lose that.
Yes, there are "trolls", but the decent people outweigh the few bad. If they are annoying I put them on ignore. If they are abusive in any manner, they are reported.
If the boards are closed, I will no longer use IMDB for anything.

IMDb message boards have been a great place to discuss movies and personal taste. Deleting them will not only cause less traffic to the IMDb site (what good is it to rate a movie if you can't discuss your rating with fellow IMDB users afterwards???), but also complete disrespect towards the fans and the most devoted IMDb users. Please keep the boards alive!

I don't post, but I do read a lot of the various message boards every day. I do hope that you are not closing them due to political correctness. That would be very scary. I can't imagine it is due to non participation. All the boards that I visit are very busy and I for one do like the differing opinions.

As someone who loves older movies and TV shows, IMDB boards are a great way to connect and hash over old theories, scenes, trivia as well as get recommendations for other movies. Social media focuses on new release stuff only and I won't be wasting time with it.
Please re-consider this course of action...

Please keep the message boards open; I second all the positive comments about the board's positive aspects and certainly won't use Facebook instead, nor twitter, snapchat etc (I don't know how to use those sites and that won't change even if the decision to close the message boards proceeds). I think this is definitely a negative decision on the part of whomever made the decision to close the message boards.
