Petition to keep the IMDB messageboards going

Would like you guys to keep the message boards, I like that section, plus I think it's good for people who don't want to write lengthy reviews.

Need it because of discussing movies that no other site allows discussion for. What kind of site are going to discuss movies that nobody has seen except a few people. Please don't do this.

I will be visiting the site a great deal less without the message boards

The whole point of IMDB for me, is the message boards! It is the only place to get feedback and reviews that haven't been purchased by the studios.

Please keep the boards!!! I go to them to talk about celebs and ask questions when I need answers. They're the main reason I go on IMDb. I'm sorry about the trolls; it's the internet and it comes with the territory unfortunately.

What a HUGE disappointment. The message boards are what set IMDB apart from similar sites such as Rotten Tomatoes (where I will go if IMDB follows through with this). Social media platforms are not equipped for the level of discussion presented on these boards. I have been an active member since 2006, and I was a lurker long before that. I no longer intend to contribute to the site, and I am strongly considering deleting my Pro account even though it is useful to me as an actor.

Noooooooooooooo... PLEASE keep the message boards.

IMDB message boards are the very best place to find out people's opinions and theories on a movie after you have watched it. Dumping the whole message boards because a few of the popular ones are offensive, is a hideous idea. We're now lucky enough to be able to recommend and discuss fims with strangers who share the same interests as you. Conversations and realisations on niche titles that you would never be able to have with friends at the pub. Isn't this what the Internet is fundamentally for?

I always found the message boards interesting to read other opinions about a movie. It is a pity to close it, hope you change your mind.

Hey, why can't we go to the forums and give opinions about movies anymore? It helps me decide whether or not to see a movie/tv show.

PLEASE KEEP THEM OPEN! This is a HUGE HUGE mistake! I know it's probably lost its spark once texting, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and other social media came along, but the IMDB message boards was a major feature, and I personally feel that you guys are digging your own grave by doing this.

Please keep the IMDB page... it's fantastic,,, always use it..... Screw the trolls! Much love from Ireland xx

Even though l do not post on the message boards, I enjoy reading them and they make me stay on the site longer and explore in more detail. I believe this is another example of not wanting to hurt precious liberal snowflake feelings.

Let me keep my IMDB boards!

I always like to read the message boards after I watch a movie or a serie, so it would be weird to not have this function.
