I don't post on message boards, but they're probably my favorite part of IMDb, they answer questions, and thoughts I've had on movies/television shows. I won't use IMDb anymore if they get rid of message boards (also kind of outrageous how strongly I feel about this).

Message boards are the only reason I go on imdb, it's a great place for discussion even if it does have some drawbacks.

why not just shut down the areas where there I too much negativity? politics and soapbox can go! full house, too for that matter!

The IMDb Messageboards are the only reason most people even like the website or visit it. I will boycott the website and encourage everyone I know to do the same if the boards/foums are removed.

The best part of imdb are message boards. film and actors info can be got from anywhere else.
Twitter, Facebook or any other social media can't replace message boards for specific movies, series or actors.
