Its the only forum I am on and want to be on. I do hate the trolls but love the discussions too as long as they stay civil Please rethink and don't close.

Please reconsider! The message boards add so much to the experience of viewing a film -- discussions and information that you can't really find anywhere else.

Sad as it sounds, I feel closer to fellow members of these boards than I do to some members of my own family. Please don't do away with them. They really improve the thread count in the fabric of my life.

I must say that I'm severely bummed that these message boards are to be disabled. Where on the Web are we supposed to go to discuss all the movies and TV shows we love? While mostly a "lurker," I've been coming to IMDB since its inception, and think it's a really BAD move to destroy a community that's been growing for so many years. I have NO desire to join a thousand different FB groups to discuss a thousand different movies and shows, and there is NO way to "discuss" adequately via disposable postings on twitter, snapchat or instagram. to suggest that we do so is ludicrous and offensive.

The message boards have always been my favorite part of imdb and usually the only reason to go on the site.

The message boards are what keep me visiting IMDB. I'm afraid I'll no longer have use for your app. Such a shame.

My very favorite thing about imdb is the message boards feature. It would be a shame and a poo business decision to get rid of these boards. Why use this site when it won't be an different than rotten tomatoes or some such. Please keep this feature.

I will really miss the message boards. It was exciting to follow along with and discuss a film during pre-production and production.

Please keep the IMDb forum. The IMDb forum is literally the only reason I ever signed up to have a IMDb account. Thank you.

Why are you closing the message boards? It's a place that people come and discuss movies they like or don't like. It's an integral part of IMDB.

Please do not close these message boards. I am an older person who cannot join Twitter or Facebook. It opens a new window to the world of movies - and I am a terrific movie fan. This is where I found out about a film that I was looking for for years! (It has never been issued on VHS or DVD) a beautiful person wrote that it had been uploaded to Utube and I was able to view it again after 64 years! Surely that is a genuine success story. Please reconsider and leave these message boards as they are. Thank you.
