Please keep the message board!! I go on there all the time after watching shows to see what people are saying because no one in my circle of friends wants to discuss the show in the detail like the message boards go into!!!

Please don't close down the boards. Many do have a positive experience using them. There really is not anything comparable to them on the internet. All the celebrities, tv shows, movies, etc. on one site. Taking away the message boards will really diminish IMDB.

I love the message boards and do not like using Facebook or the other formats mentioned that we can use in place of it. I like that you can easily see updates on trailers, when a new season will start and to ask other fan related information. After all if I want to discuss a movie or tv show it is really easy just go under the message boards but that is a pain on Facebook, YouTube etc.

I would like to keep the IMDB message boards open. I am always interested to read what other people think about a TV show or a movie.
If you officially close it, it will feel very empty on the website. The community will be lost.

I really hope that this helps stop the boards from shutting down. IMDB is honestly one of the only places on the internet where you can communicate with other movie/TV buffs. There are other sites but none as concise or easy to navigate. I love going on the boards and discussing trailers, different genres, movie news and other random bits of trivia with other like minded people. Please don't shut down the boards.

This is one of the most preposterous ideas I've ever heard. The boards are an integral, vital part of IMDb, and is one of my main reasons for using the site - DON'T DO THIS!

IMDB provides nothing that can't be found somewhere else, except for the message boards. Some of the most insightful thoughts on movies and shows have been on them. I can't believe they have "low traffic" when so many people post on them.
