Petition to keep the IMDB messageboards going

Please keep the message boards alive! They are a great source of both fun and information.

I enjoy reading others take on the shows and movies I'm watching. It's a great way to see things you may have missed or from a different perspective. Taking that away because a few people have hurt feelings is wrong!

IMDB message boards is my main source of discussing movie-related theories, news and topics. Taking that away feels like my freedom to say my opinion is stripped. Shutting down message boards is not going to solve the problem with trolls and hateful comments. The key is to just ignore it.

Its really the only reason I go to IMDB.

I will have not need to come on here anymore. This is where I get information and play games. What will I do without the message boards?

Keep boards active

I don't agree with everything that goes on on the boards, but it was always a great place to discuss the films and television shows that I cared for. Not everyone cares about the fad that is "social media". Some of us remember how awesome the world was without it, a world that included the IMDb boards. If it goes away the world will be a lesser place.

I'll admit I dislike trolls, too. But isn't getting rid of the message boards over doing it?

The Boards were the only reason I came to this site, no need to now will just go to Wikipedia.

Never used the message boards, myself, but I do like reading the informative posts that they do contain. Please don't take the message boards down. It's used as a form of communication between one film fan to another.
