We all share a lot of useful information including where to find hard to find behind the scenes videos and interviews on these boards. Maybe better moderation is what is needed to get rid of the hateful trolls, but don't ruin it for everyone else

I first discovered IMDB sometime in the '00s - I don't even remember when. Without the message boards I never would have found so many of the so-bad-they're-good '80s made-for-tv movies that I half-remembered from my childhood (much less gotten my hands on copies of the (un)classics "The Bermuda Depths" and "This House Possessed". The message boards are the best part of the IMDB community. They deserve a reprieve.

I use the discussion boards daily, there are no other sites that offer the same thing. Please reconsider removing the boards.

It is extremely sad that an integral part of why I use IMDB is because of the message boards. It is one of the only places that centralizes discussions about a specific film, tv or variety show. It gives a human connection to recommendations and insight, especially for obsure and older films. Though there were people that abused the priviledge (trolls), there are also great peole with interesting and hilarious insight into what I watch. I would hope enough peoples opinion would make a difference.

The message boards on IMDb along with the reviews are the whole point of the site. Please rethink this. I'm sure there will be a loss in visits to the site. People like to see other opinions on films and tv shows and this is the go to place but after you shut the boards there's less reason to visit the site. We can just google what info we need.

Wait.....in that message it says 10 million users on the other social media platforms engage? AHAHAHAHAHAHA! No. People are not engaging more on Facebook or Twitter. Several FB posts have like 17 comments. And how do you discuss what the ending song was in 1985s Teen Wolf? Win in the End then it transitions into Shooting for the Moon FYI. PLEASE RECONSIDER. Hire me to moderate. I'll do it.

Please reconsider and KEEP the Boards active! I LOVE them! They're a treasure trove of information, and I LOVE discussing movies with my fellow film fans.
