I admit, like others, that I won't come as often as I used to on IMDb if boards are shutting down. I'm not an avid poster, but I read a lot. A "board" section on every movie was a great idea and an easy way to be in touch with everything "new" on a subject. Facebook doesn't work like this and you don't need me to tell you this!
I've been a member for almost 10 years and I am so, so sorry that IMDb won't be any fun anymore!
Please reconsider!

This makes no sense, mostly everyone who likes movies uses the message boards. I personally love them and use them on a daily basis. I will no longer use the site after they shut them down I dont think they realize the negatige impact this will have on thier website.

IMDb was one of my most-frequented sites. Without message boards it's just another site about advertising to and profit to the exclusion of all else. Amazon's influence has done nothing to improve it, and now may actually kill it off. Please respond in a more constructive way by letting users report abuse rather than removing the message board.

The message boards where the biggest reason for coming to imdb to see a film's interpretations, unique perspectives and facts that you can't find anywhere else most of the time. Why destroy such wonderful means of film education and a group of movie lovers just because of some trolls? ;s
