Please don't take down the message boards. It is the best feature of IMDB. There is a forum for each movie, actors, etc. The Social Media suggestion is a very poor replacement.

You are. It's to shut this down. I, for one, will never use this site again. What would be the point? Now where will we go to fond out about new shows and movies. Congratulations on closing that venue down!

The individual movie message boards are the reason I come to the site. There is so much we can learn from them that we can't on social media. Where can we go on imdb social media to quickly find archives of opinions about individual movies? Keep the message boards!

I'm not a member but I view these boards very often for the insight of it's posters about the many shows and movies I watch. Yes, there are the idiots (like everywhere else)... but the good far outweighs the bad. Shutting the boards down may be the worst decision they could have made and it will most likely be their downfall. I don't get the lame excuse.... and I think they no longer care or simply have other plans.I hope this petition helps save it.

Why close the message boards? I go there to discuss movies. I can't do that on FB. Might as well shut the whole thing down. I won't be using it.

I maintain a popular list on IMDb with over 500,000 views in a few years. The message board section was one of the only useful components of IMDb. This decision reeks of greed on the part of Amazon -- come on, we all knew it would be bad news when Amazon bought IMDb and now we've been proven right.
Anyway, if the message board goes, so do I, along with my list and the traffic I generated for the site.
