Reading comments on IMDB message boards is the only reason why I come to this site. No point in using IMDB when message boards close down...

While I haven't contributed in a while, I still read and revisit several threads. This has always always been my favorite IMDb feature (especially concerning non mainstream films) and an invaluable source of interesting thoughts, interpretations, and discussions.

Getting rid of the IMDB message boards will ruin my movie going/TV watching experience. Talking about movies and TV shows is a huge part of my life, most of that takes place on IMDB.
The powers that be, please reconsider.

As a filmmaker who spends a lot of time researching older and more obscure films, the IMDB forums have been an invaluable resource for me over the last 15 or so years that I've been following them. Why cant mods just be given the power to temporarily shut down the busy superhero boards when they get too trolly instead of this? Why must all of us film fans suffer at the hands of the trolls? IMDB is letting the trolls win here. IMDB's facebook page is in no way a replacement for what the boards offer.

I am absolutely astounded that you have decided to remove message boards. They are an integral part of IMDB. I am at a loss at your rationale. I am signing this petition in the hope that I, and many others will make you see sense!

I read the message board on a film prior to seeing it to know what I'm getting into. I was on TDKR board when word came through about Aurora. The boards have value

This is the only site on the net to have a separate message board for each movie or even director etc in once place. It would be a huge blow to the internet itself to lose this feature. Please reconsider!!

I come to message boards every single time after watching a film to discuss and read what other people are thinking. There is no other place as universal and extensive as IMDB boards to discuss films.
Please IMDB, don't do this to us.
