I understand that the proliferation of trolls on the message boards disturbs all of us reasonable film and TV lovers, but I think it is nevertheless worth keeping the boards. I not only enjoy reading and posting on message boards for less popular movies and TV shows, but I like that we are not in a bubble: you see what a lot of people all over the US and the world think about movies/shows you care about. Posters can always put trolls on ignore. Please keep the boards.

Pease don't shut down the message boards! Without the detailed discussions about movies and trivia, I don't know that I'd continue coming to imdb. I don't like the trolls, but I can look past them. Don't take our imdb away!

So wrong they are shutting down the boards. I have been a fan for over 15 years and never had a problem ignoring people who are being trolls. Really bad decision IMDB.

I've been using the boards for so many years now that it truly saddens me learning IMDb is shutting them down. Almost every time I watch a movie I go check the movie's board, especially if it's a controversial or "confusing" movie, so I can read and discuss different points of view. It's also a good way of learning if a movie is worth watching or not, if you're careful enough not to read spoilers or just don't mind them. Maybe deactivate the boards made for people (actors, directors and so on) and keep the boards for the movies, documentaries and tv shows. This is a very good feature and it would be a shame not to be able to use it anymore.

Please keep the message boards. So much discussion takes place here. It is a shame to lose that. IMDB Message Boards are my go-to for finding out more about a TV show, movie, actor, etc. and I'm sure that many others feel the same. Please, please, please do not disable the message boards. Thank you.
