Please don't murder the message boards! Don't throw the baby out with the bath water! IMDb has long been my default destination for learning about movies, TV, actors, directors. And the discussions that take place on the boards is a big reason why I value the IMDb experience so much and stay connected so often. As many other fans have said: IMDb without the give-and-take messaging is just another Rotten Tomatoes Database. I know I'll have less to do with it, and that makes me sad :(

The IMDB needs moderators, that will solve every problem, how can you punish everyone because of the actions of the worst.

Where will be the central message boards be if IMDb goes away. There's so much information collected over the years that will become lost to history. PLEASE reverse your decision and keep the boards. It's the only way. What else is the purpose for IMDb existing if not for bringing everyone together?

Keep the better forums. Such as the game boards.

The IMDB forums are the only place to go to ask experts for the forgotten titles of movies. It's the reason I initially created an account on the site.

The IMDb message boards are classic! Plus, surely that feature boosts your site traffic as users regularly return to participate in discussion. What's the deal, IMDb?

The only reason I use IMDb is to read the message boards.

The message boards are the best thing on IMDB. Have no interest in your Facebook site. It's just more bland and boring advertising which I wasn't even aware of until now.

I wouldn't even visit IMDB if it weren't for the message boards.

Please keep the message boards. It helps us old folks understand what's going on in some of these new shows.

I have been ignoring internet trolls for over 20 years. I see no reason to pay them any mind now. Keep the forum!

When I plan to buy something, one of the first things I do is to READ ONLINE REVIEWS of the product. Same goes for making the decision to see a movie, and the "IMDB" Message Boards are where I go BEFORE and/or AFTER the movie. PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE YOUR MESSAGE BOARD FEATURE!

This news is sort of a shock. Virtually the only reason I've been coming here since April, 2011 is to discuss mostly Saoirse Ronan with other serious fans. It's hard to believe this is a good business decision. And BTW, who cares about the nasties and trolls. They don't bother me in the least.

Please do Not take away the message boards, here's a news flash, some people do not Twitter or snspchat, we actually read thought provoking and interesting posts, I check IMDb every day and visit the boards of my fav actors and movies and tv shows every day!! Please reconsider!!!

Please do not shut down the IMDB message boards. I read them on a daily basis and they are a big part of my internet life.

IMDB member for 16 years, rated over 3000 films. Shame to see the boards go since that's the only way to connect with other members and actually discuss about film with them. Also the individual film message boards are often quite informative and interesting, especially for older titles... found many good movie recommendations that way. Also, not sure what good my top 250 badges are now... I don't use social media and it can not substitute the boards in any case.

Without the boards IMDb is just another movie database and there is no reason to go there anymore. If you wanna shut it down completely, just do it. I doubt a lot of people will still check on the site frequently. I'm a member now for 14 years and it really upsets me ....
