Petition to keep the IMDB messageboards going

Can't see facebook as a proper platform for sharing thoughts and serious discussion, that is what the forum is about, and for me it was a very significant part of my experience in this site.

While I don't write a lot, I do enjoy reading the discussions on the message boards of my favorite movies and TV series where I can learn more of them and appreciate different perspectives.

The forums are an integral part of the imdb experience. Please keep them.

Please keep the messageboards going!

Please don't shut the forum down! It's an important part of my movie experience to look up what other movielovers have to say to the movies I've watched! No social network can replace that! This decision ist terrible. I'm part of this community for over ten years now. That's so sad! :(

Please keep the messageboards open.

I love the boards and would be sad to see them gone. after watching a movie or a series its always interesting to check what other people think. It surely could use some update but overall it does what it should do. Make people interact with each other about what we all love: Movies and Series.

Loved the IMDB messageboards for almost 10 year lads now please dont make me use /tv/ :^(

Please keep the IMDB message boards open. It's a great place to discuss movies and make friends. I would miss it very much if it was shut down.I have been using the boards for 14 years now. Please don't let the trolls ruin it for everyone else who enjoys using the boards. I have also learned a lot of movie trivia from IMDB , and enjoy discussing that and discussing anything else that interests me about the movies.

Please consider keeping the boards. I have been a member for almost five years. This is the best way to find out what I want to know about moves and TV and also discuss these issues with like minded people. I see you are getting a lot of blowback so please listen to us. Thank you.

You can't take away the message boards!

Please keep the comment boards, it's one of the best parts of imdb. I read them after every movie I watch, it's fun to read other movie fans impressions. It's easy to skip over the tasteless comments

Keep it alive, the message boards are one of the main reasons I frequent IMDB

Please keep the message boards. I enjoy posting about television and film while being able to protect my privacy and protect my identity.

This is a decision backed by lies. They have made a deal with Facebook which will override what the users really want.

I love going to the IMDB message boards to see what everyday people like myself think. Please reconsider ending the message boards. People other than trolls use these boards for lively, civil and bracing discourse. Don't put the kibosh on a useful tool just because a few individuals abuse it.

The message boards are the main reason I use imdb and have been for as long as I can remember. Big mistake to close them.
