I come to these message boards because I don't have friends who like to delve into the discussion of movies and shows as much as I do. I LOVE seeing others points of view. I truly believe IMDb will be nothing when they delete all of their message boards. I'll most likely be deleting the app, since I can look up ratings and movie times anywhere else.

The boards on IMDb are one of the best things about the site. IMDb is all about people sharing their thoughts on movies and TV shows, but reviews don't allow for interaction and being able to debate in the way the boards do. I've been using IMDb for over 10 years, and they're definitely one of the best things about it.
Sure, there are plenty of trolls and spam, but that's like 1% of everything you find on the boards, and it's up to IMDb's management to make sure those things go away.

You should keep the IMDB message boards because even though people say negative things on them they are still a great way for movie lovers to talk about films and tv shows.

This has been the only site I go to for movie info - and have always gone to the message boards - there isn't any other site to use that discusses the movies in the same way IMDb does. A great shame if they disable them.

I don't use any social media outlets. The message boards let me discuss with others the content and suppositions that I would never have thought of but adds to my pleasure of the program. Closing the boards is short sighted and needs to be revisited.
