Please do not close down the message boards! I know there can be awful people on but there are also helpful people on the boards. When you like a certain genre or actor/actress usually the members of the message boards refer you to different pieces of work you may also like. Through this method I have discovered many pieces of film I would not have noticed otherwise.

The message boards are an essential part of the IMDB site. The boards also have no equivalent elsewhere. Shutting them will be a great loss to the community of movie lovers.

I would like to see the message boards to remain. I find them very informative and a great way to receive and give out information and opinions. Childish trolls can be ignored.

Please keep the boards. I was devastated to hear I would be losing this community of friends I have found to discussion our favorite period dramas, movies, and actors. I have participated on the boards for about 10 years now, and I have formed many friendships with other users. It would be tragic to lose this communication.

Please keep message board. I don't often post but I like to read other people's posts and questions about movies and shows. I consider it an addition to any movie or TV show experience to be able to read other people's thoughts about it.

Please do not remove the message boards. Their users constitute a valuable and helpful community that unites film lovers from all over the world. Checking what other people think about movies I watched has been a part of my daily routine for at least 8 years. Hateful comments appear but they form the minority, not the majority. Please see what I see: love for obscure movies, appreciation of older actors, celebration of masterpieces, interest in hidden gems, praise for rising stars... The boards give you an ability to comment on every movie, actor or director that ever existed, so everyone can easily find it. Don't take all this away from us, cinephiles.

I'm so saddened to read about the shutdown of imdb.com's message board system. It's been a wonderful place to discuss movies and TV shows. It's been a way to find people with like thoughts or a way to broaden my horizons by reading other's points of view. Please rethink this decision!

The message boards are the ONLY reason I use IMDB. If you get rid of the message boards there's no reason for me to come to this site or use the app. I can't be the only one that feels this way. The message boards are very informative for most of us. Show information is on many sites, IMDB's message boards are the big attraction to IMDB. Farewell to the message boards equals farewell to IMDB. Amazon is making a mistake on this one.

I love the IMDB message boards! Without them, there isn't much point to visiting your website, since most of the other information can be found elsewhere. Please consider keeping them open for us movie buffs!
