This is an important resource, reading the comments always expands my knowledge on a film. It also directs me to other amazing films. How can you be the internet movie data base without this discussion method?

I"ve been on these boards for a decade and still to this day read them everyday. I have been fortunate to find good movie suggestions &, movie-plot explanations . These boards are very beneficial for movie goers & pop culture lovers to express and share like-minded interests. Getting rid of these boards will hurt the community that many actors need support from. Its because of us they have a job! This site will be pretty much worthless if the boards are removed.

If you close the boards be prepared for a huge loss in traffic to your site.

The boards need to be updated and improved, not scrapped. Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater!

I'm shocked and extremely saddened to hear this. There are lots of places people can go to talk about blockbuster movies, but if I find a hidden gem from 1996 or even a very small indie movie from 2016, there is often nowhere but IMDb to go to find anyone else who has seen the movie and wants to discuss it. PLEASE don't do this!

I really like coming to the message boards to find out about actors, and just talk about what I watch. The trolls can be dealt with. Please leave us a place to talk about our shows and movies!

WTH IMDB? I've been using these message boards for over a decade! So what if there are trolls - such is life on the internet. It is WRONG of you to take away these boards from long standing members like myself who get a lot of use and good information from them. DO NOT DO THIS IMDB - do not punish all of us just cause of a few trolls!

After every film or tv series I watch the imdb message boards are where I go. Will be lost with out them I love hearing what other have to say about shows/films and enjoy hearing others opinions on them.

The message boards are pretty much the only reason I come to IMDB on a regular basis. Please don't shut them down, there are no real alternatives to them anywhere on the internet!

Please keep the boards. If not the main Message Boards. Then the boards on the movies, Tv, and Actors. I don't doubt for a minute that celebrities come and go on IMDB to see what we are all saying about their performances and interact with us. Please keep the boards.
