I use them all the time to get other ideas on interpretations that are highly valuable. The good outwheighs the bad.

Love the boards. Read them after every movie I watch -- and I watch a lot.

Shutting down the forums is a really stupid idea. There really is no reason to use imdb without them. Delete the big general boards if you must but leave out the individual boards.

Getting rid of these boards would be ridiculous change that will drive IMDb users away seriously

There is no need to do this. The forums have become an integral part of mine and many other cinephiles' lives. It would be foolish to remove them for the sake of social media, which, ironically, is far more likely to incite trolling and unpleasant behaviour than forums.

This is ridiculus that imdb would even consider this. The message board is what brings us movie fanatics together.

Please keep message board. I like to read other people's posts and questions about movies and shows. I consider it an addition to any movie or TV show experience to be able to read other people's thoughts about it.

The message boards are the main reason I go to IMDB. I enjoy the insightful and thoughtful discussions about films. I ignore the trolls: they're everywhere.

Pleaase reconsider the ending of the IMDb message board. It has been a wonderful place to discuss interesting topics related to movies, old and new.

IMDb is where I go, and have gone for 10 years, for the latest movie information and insightful commentary on the message boards. I do not plan on using the suggested social media platforms (fb, twitter, least of all snapchat) to discuss storylines and symbolism in the shows/movies profiled on IMDb. The message boards are the best platform on which to engage in discussion about show/movie details; removing this platform diminishes the IMDb experience.

As a user of IMDB for over 11 years I'm saddened at this current state of affairs and hope its not too late to reverse the decision.

These message boards have been so very useful and interesting over the years. I have continued my relationship with many a film by discovering what others have had to say. It would be a real shame if they disappeared. Please reconsider. We REAL film fans consider them somewhat of an extension of ourselves.
