I love to discuss a movie or a TV show after i've seen it. Whether it's giving praise or inquiring about something I didn't quite understand with the plot. Taking away the boards is not a good idea.

BIG MISTAKE!
I don't do Social media because of itis intrusiveness as well as all the idiots. You won't get near the intelligent comments or even neat trivia from some posters who worked on the film

Why on earth would you discontinue the message boards?I look at them almost every day. They are the best part of the website. I don't know of any other resource for discussing films like them. Please reconsider.

Messageboards are literally one of the sole reasons I go on IMDB. Where else can I discuss obscure/old movies with other people who've seen them? Getting rid of the boards is a terrible idea.

How are we actually supposed to discuss anything on social media? Start a comment thread about a 90's Jane Austen adaptation on your latest superhero movie facebook post? Yeah, that makes complete sense.

Don't eliminate the boards! I just found out! THere is nowhere else where I can discuss movies while I watch, or check and see what other people think of movies! Please do not shut them down.

The message board is the only way I'll know if the movie is going to great or cheesy! I would hate if the message board feature was taken away. It's the only reason I go on here in the first place.

Stop it with the PC censorship crap. You can't control what people think and say. That's life. I doubt I'll use IMDB without this feature. You just gave Reddit a huge boost. Good job, haha.

Please keep the message boards open. This is an excellent place for us to discuss films and shows. We really don't care about the trolls. Most of us are old enough to know to ignore them! This is the only place we can go to havea conversation about a film/show and discuss our likes and dislikes. A unique feature is that each film/show has its own message board. This helps us discuss, or just browse through what others are discussing about a particular film/show! Keep the message boards!
