The message boards have been my go-to source for clarifying ambiguous plot lines and sharing info with like-minded viewers. Way to throw the baby out with the bathwater, IMDB.

The boards was a great way to discuss things you did not know people would like to discuss. And the best thing was it was all under the one page. Without the boards I am not sure if I would visit imdb as often. Please keep the boards.

The IMDb forums are the very reason I visit IMDb website. For reviews and ratings I can go to other sites.

The messageboards are by far the main thing I use IMDb for, and I am sure that is the case for many other people. Closing that entire section of the website because of trolls is letting them win; do not punish the rest of us for their bad behaviour. If that appeal is insufficient to sway you I must point-out the potential costs to you; I will most likely hardly ever visit your site again once the messageboards close - I may very well never visit it again, in fact - and I am sure the same goes for thousands of other web users. That is not some petty threat to boycot your site, it's just a frank statement that my only real reason for visiting the site will be gone; most of the information on IMDb is available on sites like Wikipedia, and with more detail in the cited source documentation.

As long as we have the ignore button; the positives outweigh the negatives. Please don't remove the message boards.

Please keep the message boards. It is a wonderful way to see others insights to moves and shows. I look forward to reading them after every movie!

Please do not shut down the message boards. They are what keeps me coming back to your site. It is what makes your site much better than any alternative. Please reconsider.

Please keep the message boards. They are greatly appreciated, my favorite thing about IMDb, and the most unique feature that brings me to IMDb.

The comments section is the best thing about IMDb. I will access the website much less if the comments are no longer present..

Please don't take away the message boards! I've been reading them for years now, and is the reason I come to IMDB! I use them daily and find them a wealth of information. Please reconsider!

I use and have always used the message boards. It's not often I find just completely useless or inane comments. I use IMDB primarily for the message boards and the user reviews.

Please keep the boards alive, they are such a valuable resource for discussion and opinions that I cannot think of a better place to go on the Internet. Social media is ephemeral and completely inappropriate for sustained discussion.

I love the message boards on IMDb and it's truly the best part about the site/app. I'm very disappointed about this decision as I use it daily more than once. I have better understood many movies because of reading others' interpretations from there and often find answers to my own questions already there when I go to inquire. I really hope this petition can help change the minds of the people at IMDb because most of us use it for the RIGHT reasons. Thank you.

This is ridiculous. The end. You've just lost many people and I can't understand it. Foolish move.

I'm probably on these messages boards 4 times a week and while I don't often write on them myself, I rely on this site to theorize often!
