Please don't close the message boards.I spend a lot of time on them to research movies, actors, actresses etc. You can't get any insightful info anywhere else. I would feel lost without it.It's an enjoyable experience to discuss films,which are a passion of mine,with like minded people. Yes trolls are an issue,but I would happily volunteer to monitor them.

With open questions after having seen a movie, my first place to go are always the imdb messageboards. Those rarely leave my dubieties unanswered. For me as a non english native speaker this is a practical and very entertaining way of keeping the language's knowledge alive, too!
Therefore please keep the boards!

Frequently read the message boards and am genuinely very disappointed they will continue. A great source to read about movies that may be lesser known, or even the famous ones, and great to learn more about films and other perspectives. Keep them open!

Even though I´m not writing on the boards actively they are still my first place to go after watching a movie. It´s a unique place for discussions about plot details and theories, that´s no where else to be found on the internet. Please reconsider your decision and preserve this unique platform for movie fans.

NO! NO! NO! JUST NO~!!! Please do NOT remove the messageboards~!!! I want to cosign the sentiments of other users that I RELIGIOUSLY check the messageboards after watching movies and tv shows. It gives one the chance to discuss a show or movie with someone who's had the same interest.

I'm certain that dedicated, true movie fans would volunteer to monitor message boards. I have little doubt that the closure of the boards is due to spam, trolls, racist, sexist, anti Semitic, hateful comments. And it's so Sad

As others have stated the message board is the main reason I go to IMDB.com. The message board has been a source of entertainment for me for many years and provides invaluable info. Please don't shut the board down.

Don't remove the msg board. It's great to read after watching a Movie or Tv Show. I will no longer use IMDB if it is taken away.
