Petition to keep the IMDB messageboards going

Please keep the message boards. I've never even posted on any of the boards but I love being able to have my questions answered about a film or actor right away. I appreciate looking something up right away and finding a community of people sharing my same thoughts about film. It will be such a shame to lose that. I don't bother reading anything posted by offensive "trolls". Please don't let them ruin it for the majority. Thank you

The message boards are the most important thing on IMDB. Plain stupid decision to stop them. What a great loss... for everyone :). No one cares for your "facebook page"; what makes IMDb special is that you can discuss and debate with others, who too love a particular movie, in the message board for that movie.

I love the messageboards and would really like if they stayed.

I really hope IMDb will change their minds in the face of all the criticism this move is receiving. The message boards are an invaluable source of community and information. There's nothing more fun than perusing and posting on the board of a movie you just enjoyed. Please keep the message board. One of the reasons I go to IMDb is for the message boards. I love seeing other people's questions and opinions. Without the message boards IMDb will be little more than Wikipedia.

I love the IMD message boards and read them every time I'm on IMDB which is almost every day. They really help me get more understanding out of my movies and tv shows. Someone has always asked a question I've been thinking about. Please don't stop them!

The message boards are the best thing about the. Such a great way to go to a specific movie or whatnot and have a conversation. IMDb will become a pointless site if its only good for looking up a movies cast and crew when you can do that anywhere. Way get rid of your most loyal customers IMDb

Please don't scrap the message boards! It's neat to get alternative theories and outlooks from shows and movies.

Please reconsider. Perhaps only a small percentage of the 250M monthly visitors use the boards, but they happen to be your most loyal and avid users. The ability to comment on dedicated boards for every individual or title is unique on the Internet, and removing them is a great disservice to the world.

I read the message boards for multi shows everyday. Also always for any movies I watch, these message boards are my window and outlet to the world since most days i am stuck at home due to ongoing illnesses. It gives me an outlet to feel connected. Please reconsider shutting down the message boards.

I don't understand how I'm supposed to see what other people are saying or think about a specific show or movie on Facebook?!? I look at IMDb message boards after every movie or show I watch. This news is so disappointing.

Amazon are doing this to stop negative views being expressed about movies on the IMDB. Like what happened with the recent Ghostbusters remake. This is why sites such as the IMDB should not have been allowed to have been bought out by amazon. They are just forcing the people into going along their monetized world view. Meanwhile the internet loses one of its greatest resources. Very sad indeed.

I always read through the user comments on IMDb after watching an interesting or disputatious movie. Often there's such valuable informations or discussions which can not be easily found somewhere else in the net. So please keep the message boards! Don't make the site another Wikipedia for movies.

Don't do it, IMDB has some of the best conversations about film, tv, and actors on the internet.

Any chance you could just ban the people who arent nice instead of everyone. I love the message boards most people are great and have awesome opinions and i use this message board for those people opinions. This is so disappointing for those doing the right thing. I will boycott omen if you take the message boards away. The message boards are how I find discussions on tv shows and films. There is no other platform I am aware of that does what these message boards do on the same scale.

Please! There are no other forums as vast as the International Movie DATABASE. It will hurt film fans around thecworld and imdb.com itself to shut them down.
