I use message boards daily to look at what people are saying about movies. It's a place where I can find specific conversations about certain scenes of movies or shows. Message boards are something that are a habit for me to go to. Please don't delete them.

The IMDb message boards are such a great way of communicating and discussing film. Especially the individual film boards. It would be a gross error to remove them.

I regularly (ok, not regularly, but frequently enough) check on the msg boards of my favorite movies, or the ones I'm interested in. It's such a unique feature that I can find no where else. It's what makes imdb special!! WIthout the message board imdb is NOTHING!!! I can find other information anywhere. Come on Imdb what are you thinking???!!

The only site where you can discuss every movie, series, actor or director. It is part of my daily internet routine for a decade. Discussing cliffhangers, great movies, bad movies, series, story arcs, SFX, music, ongoing productions, directors ec. with people all around the world and to get opinions and answers to almost everything is an important part of the world wide web. There is nothing else like it. Please don´t kill it!

The message boards are what make IMDb a special place, especially for enthusiasts of older shows and movies. Where else can I interact with fans of Mannix and Mod Squad? Yes, there are trolls, but 99% of the time the message boards provide a fun and even enlightening experience as fellow fans share insights and knowledge. Please reconsider this decision. Thank you. This will in time reduce your website views. Not everyone writes on the forums but a lot of people, A LOT of people read the forums after watching a movie to see what people speculate about. Also for older TV Shows, there's a lot of in-depth discussion.
Traffic from imdb will be re-directed to reddit or other websites, not social media.
