Why are the rest of us being punished for others who can just be removed?! A lt of us like sharing thoughts son the movies and shows and may have some questions that others can answer for us. This is sad that people are treated like kids.

This is merely the stifing of free speech. The "elitists" at IMDB decided they did not like heated debate and have decided to end the message boards. I guarantee you when this happens the number of "hits" that IMDB gets in any given time will decrease by more than 50%. I come to IMDB once or twice a day to read and post on the messageboards. Once they are gone you'll be lucky if you get me once a week.

Don't know if signing this will change ur minds But if the reason is because of trolls insulting racist bigots etc ,do u think the comments on Facebook Twitter or any other social network will stop because I can assure u it's a whole lot worse on there ,u should know this ur self if u go on these sites ,u say ur finished with msg board and FB,Twitter will suffice fr any comments we would like to make on movies, tv ,it's not the same I feel ur making a big mistake finishing message boards it's been all part of getting to know a particular movie tv show and what it's about ,it's hope u change ur minds and continue message boards PLEASE

As a huge movie fan, I enjoy reading/commenting on movies I want to or have just watched. They provide a great insight from other people's perspective and opinion

The first thing I do when I watch a movie is go to the IMDB forums for it and see what people think or if I have any doubts it's usually answered there. I've done this for years and so have many others. The message board existing doesn't take any relevant amount of money away from you, please don't take them away from us.

Please save these message boards. I understand that there are some negative conversations that happen here, however it is a place where I have found so many answers and explanations and deeper understanding and appreciation for film. It would be a massive loss to the world of film.

Given the fact that I intend to stay out of the Facebook/Twitter monopolies - even if that means I will be part of a distinct minority of people - I regret that, in the name of progress, more and more well-appreciated sources of information get doomed to disappear, most recently the IMDB-Forum which I have loved to consult for several years now. Hope you will reconsider!

I use the message board after every movie to explain some confusions or to see how others interpret it. I think this is a bad move to close these down completely and I will not use IMDb in future.
