The message board is a valued resources used by many people.
If trolls are the problem why penalise the wider community? Better to eliminate the trolls.

I never made an account but I've been looking at the IMDB message boards for years. I like to see other people's opinions on movies and shows I watch and I do so regularly.

I have been on the boards for 9 years. The individual movie boards are completely unique on the internet and should not be lost. Small, obscure movies will be hurt the most.

I've been a member since 2005, not as long as many I know, and I don't often comment on a board, but I do like reading them to see what others think. Taking away the boards is taking away free speech, you can look but you can't have an opinion.

A lot of us don't have FaceBook, Twitter or accounts like that. We can commune about specific actors or other talent on these boards conveniently and inexpensively. Let us keep our message boards!

This is one of, perhaps the only, place to go for elevated, or even generic, discourse about films past and present with film lovers all over the world. That is worth keeping. If new, most strict rules are needed, please impose them.
