The message boards are the top reason for me visiting the IMDB website - I go straight to the forum after viewing a film to read what others think. please keep the forum going!

Keep the message boards, besides looking up movie titles which I could do with Google, I solely joined IMDb so I could join in the conversations and often find new facts, ideas and theories from members. You'd be making a big mistake as I believe that is what sets IMDb apart.

Do not get rid of the message boards. It's a dreadful decision.

I love coming to the imdb message boards and reading the opinions of others on something that i watched or am about to watch. I am so disappointed that I will no longer be able to do this. I really hope that you will reconsider keeping the message boards as an outlet for many fans.

Although I don't use the messages boards as much now as I did growing up, it's always been a primary source of communication to help me see film as an art form. It was my source for having a better understanding of my favorite films as well as a means of seeking recommendations. It saddens me that IMDB is doing this. I wish they would reconsider.

Please don't get rid of them. Isn't there a way to regulate negative and troll comments? I love the message boards, and being able to communicate with others about different titles.

The Message boards are what makes IMDB unique! Without them,I might as well go to Rotten Tomatoes! Which I will do if you disable the message boards

Ridiculous decision getting rid of the Message Boards IMDb. Not everyone goes on social media, nor do they want to. Did you think to ASK the people who USE the Boards or did you unilaterally make a decision? I think the latter because all the people I have spoken to said they want the Boards to STAY.

Please keep the message boards open. I'm certain people will comment with more eloquent words and sussed out thoughts on what the message boards mean to all of us. When I watch movies or television, especially older movies from the golden years of Hollywood, I want to share the experience with other viewers or read their opinions. Also, when I have questions, IMDb message boards is my go to place for answers about movies, television series. actors, production, etc. Just visiting the site proper does not answer these questions. People share books, reference other movies, and ideas that I will have no way of knowing on my own. I have made countless purchases on Amazon through these posters' suggestions and have read over and over of other users doing the same. That is a lot of revenue that Amazon will lose because we will no longer be aware of this items. Trolls, flame wars, et al are a nuisance, but just scrolling past these posts is easily enough done. IMDb will be an incomplete site without the message boards. I see no reason to visit it, the Facebook page, Twitter, Snapchat, or the other social medias sites you want message board users to now use. Social media cannot replace the fleshed out opinion, thoughts, and knowledge of the message boards. Please, please reconsider keeping the boards open. Thank You

While I don't use them often, when I need to get an answer about something this is BY FAR the best to ask movie & TV questions on the Internet!

Terrible idea. There's a ton of valuable information and ideas in these message boards, and they are a big reason why I visit IMDb at all.

The absolute for this site is the message boards, to talk about individual films with like minded fans.
